Background:
Childhood: In a word, decent. She grew up in a very loving and supportive household.Her mother pushed Monorri to sing and dance and play music, but she'd always loved it so that push was more support than anything. Her father was gone most of the time, being a sailor, but when he was home he doted on his daughter endlessly. When her little brother Nils came along, she took a caretaking role for him and loved him dearly, and he looked up to her.Like any story, though, her early years weren't all love and sunshine. Attending dance classes, as much as she loved them, were hard because other girls would make fun of her for her half-nature. Being the only girl in a dance class with horns and a tail singled her out as the target of much teasing and bullying.Teen Years: Despite the bullies, and with the love and support of her family, Monorri grew into a skilled performer. She attended a prestigious academy of dance and performing arts in Limsa Lominsa. Much of her time was devoted to her craft.The bullying and teasing, however, did not stop. In an extreme case, it turned to violence, when a group of students cornered her after a rigorous rehearsal and beat her. The fight was broken up by an instructor, and after that, Monorri's father insisted she learn some self-defense. She began training in martial arts and with small, concealable daggers that she could keep under her clothes, in case she were ever outnumbered again.Adulthood/Present: Monorri graduated and began her career, first in small venues around Limsa Lominsa. Once she had saved enough money, she left home and purchased her own place of living to pursue her career on her own. She joined an adventuring company as a public face, performing and putting on shows to raise funds for the company as well as provide morale to its members.During that time, however, the company came under attack and she was forced to defend. It was during this instance that she spontaneously discovered her talent for Light magic. She decided to use her connections with the company to find out more and hone this new skill, so that she could use it more reliably and no longer be a bystander while others fought for the good of the realm.She served with this company for approximately one year before resigningwhen the company's direction took a turn that she no longer agreed with. She now pursues interests elsewhere, looking for new opportunities and experiences.Family History: The Kaisuris are an old, extensive family of Raen that originate from Doma. They are a servant family, albeit proud and devoted ones. They have always served honorable masters. When Garlemald invaded Doma, many Kaisuris perished protecting their masters and families or ushering them to safety. Others joined the fight against the Garlean soldiers, and still others were ushered to safety by their own masters, and escaped to Eorzea.
